Clinical Meditation and Imagery Workshops
Introductory Meditation Class for Integrated Wellness
This six-week series will provide you with a strong foundation to establish or build upon your own meditation practice. This class is based on Clinical Meditation techniques, including Focused Awareness and Mindfulness Meditation. It introduces the techniques which facilitate the meditative experience and skills which assist in stress reduction, chronic illness risk reduction, and spiritual and emotional health. The series will introduce:
Weeks 1-3: Creating Stable Body/Stable Mind with Focused Awareness Meditation
Week 4: Shifting from Focus to Awareness
Week 5-6: Opening up to Spaciousness with Mindfulness Meditation
Every class will offer a complete guided meditation, followed by a short silent meditation, allowing for your own healing meditative experience. Clinical Meditation is grounded in evidence-based science and appropriate for those working toward optimal wellness as well as those managing chronic illness. No prior experience necessary.
